The Health and Safety Executive (HSG282) gives clear regulations on the operation and management of hot tubs for businesses including practice on controlling the risks associated with hot tubs, such as infection that could be caught from the water and any hazards posed by the using the hot tub such as slippery floors.
Holiday Let Businesses are required to:

Provide Hot Tub compliant units

Carry out regular risk assessments and servicing

Provide weekly records of water treatment and HSE water quality testing

1.
Advise on the HSG282 code of practice

Carry out regular risk assessments, review potential risks.
3.
Retrofit existing Hot Tubs to be compliant or supply new HSG282 Hot Tub models.
4.
Provide a maintenance, cleaning and water treatment plan including regular changing of the water, full drain down, cleaning, shock cleaning and water changed between rentals.
5.
Weekly reporting, demonstrating that the Hot Tub is regularly inspected and maintained.
6.
Supply and deliver chemicals, maintain and provide filters.
7.
Full shut down & service every 6 months for spas with high use.
8.
Health & Safety and operating advice to be provided to Hot Tub users.
